On the nose, the wine exudes aromas of
lemon zest, gooseberry, passion fruit and nectarine. On the palate,
aromas of kiwi and tropical fruit salad are present, leading to a long, dry finish. The grapes are hand-picked early in the morning. Very short
maceration time and fermentation in stainless steel tanks for 15 to 21 days. Then matured on the yeast for 4 months. With tuna in a sesame crust with honey-ginger-lemon sauce. Or with fresh oysters with shallot vinaigrette

The Warwick Estate is located in the heart of the Stellenbosch wine-growing district at the foot of the Simonsberg and was re-established in 1964 by Norma Ratcliffe and her husband Stan on historic ground. At first she was laughed at, as it was considered very unlikely that a Canadian career changer could establish herself in the male-dominated South African wine scene. But Norma proved to have an iron will. She asked the neighboring winemakers a lot of questions, read one book after another, bought cellar equipment, repaired broken pumps, patched holes in barrels and gradually improved the quality. Norma, known as the "First Lady of the Cape," has continuously led her winery to the top of the South African wine elite. Her declared fans include not only the Spanish King Juan Carlos but also America's former First Lady, Michelle Obama, who was recently presented with the wine of the same name on a trip to South Africa. The estate has now secured a firm place at the top of the world's "Top 100 Wineries of the Year" (Wine & Spirits Magazine).
